Dead Fish along Kapiti??

Hearing the news about dead fish washing up on Kapiti makes you wonder whether it’s a slow news day? Or do we have a serious problem? I took the dog for a walk along the beach and sure enough I did notice a few extra fish washed up than normal. So what could have caused this? I also noticed a few fish heads, which were a typical sign of filleting at the sea. Could these fish be from fishing nets? or perhaps it’s from the stormy weather we have had lately. I can’t imagine these fish have been killed from anything toxic however some fish have been taken for tests just to make sure. I would have thought that if it was toxic then there would be a huge number of fish washing up and also of a large variety. If anybody has any ideas then please share them, otherwise the weather looks to be settling over the next few days so hopefully there can be some fishing to be had.
