Please explain what this site is!
Ok this is an information and social site. That means it has 2 main aims - providing information and also allowing users to join, chat to one another and also share there experiences. To do this we have several aspects, we have an internet forum, we have blogs and we have articles and media.
What is a forum: A forum is the area where every member gets to write posts, share stories and met other people with common interests. This is the first place most new members go to ask a question and is generally the centeral area for the online community. You can reply very quick to other members comments and post short quick information.
What are Blogs? A blog is specific to one member and is not open to every member - you must apply to obtain a blog. Blogs show up on the homepage of kapiti fishing and are aimed more towards the personal experiences that member has... for instance talking about their days fishing or keeping a fishing log ... you usually spend more time writing your blog and formatting it correctly as opposed to the forum where you have limited options. example of a blog is : http://kapitifishing.co.nz/author/korin-2/
What are Articles? Currently articles are closed to most members, however they are similar to blogs but with more options when you publish. You will write articles more towards fishing methods and tips. Currently if you have good fishing information we are keen to talk to you and see if we can integrate this information into an article for the fishing site. Because they are more technical to create we will need to format these correctly so they show up in the right place. example of articles are http://kapitifishing.co.nz/how-to-kill-a-fish-snapper/ .
