penn senator
I have an old penn senator 114 reel in good condition.
I want to match it to a rod for the rocks.
What weight rod and line should I use with this reel?
Any thought as to what brand and model rod to get?

If its big enough 24 kg line.
Lbg rods are normally 7 to 8ft in length .Shimano / Killwell / Offshore / all have rods that will suit it all depends on your budget

24kg not a problem for that reel, buy a 7 foot 24 kg boat rod,if you are not doing lbg all the time a boat rod will do fine, the diawa vip rods are good but they are pretty pricey may be able to help $ mates rates----------7"6 20-50 pound(12-24 kg)
